EXTERIOR DESIGN

With its sharply defined body shape, the new Flying Spur V8 is a commanding presence on the road. The Bentley marque’s characteristic curves meet crisp, clean new edges in a remarkably sleek silhouette.

Elegant it certainly is. Yet the power line running down the side of the body, the strong rear haunch and the wraparound tail lamps betray the reserves of power concealed beneath the car’s sculpted bonnet.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Spend time in the Flying Spur and you might not want to get out.

The interior represents a unique marriage of traditional craftsmanship and advanced technology. You can see it in the mirror-matched veneer waistrails and dashboard, the matching veneered glasses case in the console and the picnic tables behind the front seats. It can take some time to appreciate everything inside the Flying Spur. It could even be worth making those first few trips a touch longer.

MULLINER SPECIFICATION

The veneers used for the mirror-matched waistrails and dashboard, the matching glasses case in the console and the picnic tables behind the front seats are all carefully fitted by hand. Cured for 72 hours, they are treated with five layers of clear lacquer to enhance their natural beauty. The result is a series of stunning, mirror-matched surfaces that flow seamlessly into the soft, tactile leather of the new Flying Spur V8's interior.

Every hand-upholstered leather seat is individually sewn, hand-fitted and signed by the upholsterer on the back of the hide, which undergoes a traditional tanning process beforehand, to give it a rich, luxurious leather aroma

The new Flying Spur V8 Mulliner continues the proud tradition of handcrafted excellence, passed down over generations of master coachbuilders. Over 100 specialists ply their trade at Mulliner, with craftsmen working alongside specialists in advanced electronics.

The V8 Mulliner model takes the new Flying Spur V8's specification to new heights of Bentley luxury. It brings additional options for both exterior and interior, such as 20” 5-spoke alloy wheels, diamond quilted seats and door panels with perforated hide, a knurled sports gear lever and drilled alloy sports pedals – every detail crafted to emphasise this incredible car’s personality.

With ride comfort of vital importance, the independent computer-controlled air suspension of the Flying Spur V8 maximises impact absorption and isolation.

EFFICIENCY

The all-new Bentley Flying Spur V8 offers a leaner, yet still luxurious alternative to its more powerful W12 sibling, with a top speed of 183 m/ph (295 km/h) and lower emissions of 254 g/km.

TECHNOLOGY

INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM

To complement its modern interior, the new Flying Spur V8 has advanced touch screen technology in front, designed specifically for Bentley. Both driver and front seat passenger can directly operate the audio, telephone, navigation system and ride and comfort settings. Unique to the Flying Spur, rear passengers can switch between front Infotainment and control volume via the Touch Screen Remote in the rear compartment.

BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY

The Multimedia Specification provides an integrated entertainment system in the rear of the Flying Spur. This includes two 10” LCD screens, and two DVD players conveniently mounted on the rear of the front seats. The media input includes two SD card slots, two USB inputs, and two HDMI cable inputs. This allows a multitude of media to be listened to or watched via the rear screens. This experience is also enhanced with WiFi hotspot.

TOUCH SCREEN REMOTE

In the new Flying Spur V8 the control has been placed firmly in the rear passengers hands, via an integrated Touch Screen Remote (TSR). The TSR is located in the centre of the rear console and can be removed from its docking station so rear occupants can reach it more easily. The TSR controls the rear window blind and rear climate conditions as well as the seat heating and ventilation (where fitted). The TSR also allows volume adjustment of the front infotainment system plus switching between radio, media, and map modes. The speed, current time and vehicle trip information is also displayed on the TSR.
